The warmth of Portugal meets the brine of the North Sea. Old Pulteney Port Single Malt Scotch Whisky begins in American oak ex-bourbon casks, which breathe the salt-laden air of the Caithness coast. From there, the route leads to the Ruby Port Pipes and Barriques of Portugal’s Douro Valley. Unlikely. Unmistakable.

AROMA
Sultanas and candied orange, then buttery vanilla, marzipan, and the gentle spice of gingerbread.
TASTE
Baked apple and cinnamon open into vanilla custard and warming spice. The coastal brine cuts through.
MATURATION
American oak ex-bourbon casks bring vanilla and citrus. Then Ruby Port Pipes and Barriques from the Douro Valley, brought to Scotland’s far north coast.
