New to the Lighthouse Collection

The lighthouse is pays homage to marks the northernmost point on the Scottish mainland. It was established in 1831, which makes in only five years younger than Pulteney Distillery and remains in service until this day.

There is an unmistakable link between Old Pulteney and the sea. Through our home town of Wick, its history and people, our distillery is steeped in the maritime heritage.

Seafaring is about rich travel, getting from point A to point B in a meaningful way and arriving at the destination with a sense of accomplishment. To celebrate this unique spirit of travel and adventure we have been offering travel-retail-exclusive expressions of our award-winning Single Malt Scotch Whisky named after important lighthouses in Caithness. Old Pulteney Noss Head, Duncansby Head and Pentland Skerries have proven very popular with travelling Old Pulteney fans and now a new one-litre-gem has been added to the range. Dunnet Head, presented in a deep-green tube, will be available across major international airports from April.

Old Pulteney Dunnet Head was matured in a combination of European and American casks, offering a balanced yet rich flavour profile. It's bottled at 46% ABV, non chill-filtered and presented at its beautiful natural colour of old brass. The aroma is warming and sweet with distinct notes of spices, chocolate and varnished wood, punctuated by lemon freshness and vanilla overtones. To taste, the new expression is silky smooth and bursting with flavours of fruit cake, salted caramel and spice.
