To celebrate Father’s Day 2023, Old Pulteney has created the ultimate gifting experience for foodie dads, by partnering with Loch Fyne Restaurants across the UK with a bespoke Coastal Courses menu.
Each Coastal Course includes a delicious three-course seafood-inspired menu, paired with a dram of Old Pulteney 12 Years Old and complete with a waterfront view, inspired by Old Pulteney’s coastal home on the northern shores of Scotland – the dream gift for any whisky lover or foodie fan.
A delicious maritime experience for the tastebuds, the menu has been designed to pair perfectly with Old Pulteney 12 Years Old, which has slightly sweet notes of honey and creamy vanilla, along with a hint of spice and sea-salt. To start, guests can enjoy an appetiser of Loch Fyne’s oysters, served with natural vinegar and shallots, before tucking into a dish of smoked salmon, served with capers, horseradish and chive cream, shallots and rye bread.
The final dish is a deliciously decadent seafood mixed grill, complete with salmon, king scallops, clams, king prawns, squid and sea bass fillet, served with samphire, wilted spinach, lobster butter and sauteed new potatoes.
The Coastal Courses are available at three Loch Fyne Restaurants across the UK – Edinburgh, Portsmouth and York – with all three restaurants just a stone’s throw away from the water, offering beautiful views reminiscent of Pulteney’s home on the Caithness Coast.
Tables can be booked on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout June, along with Father’s Day (Sunday 18th June) at £45.55 per person, making it the perfect gifting experience for Father’s Day. Foodie lovers should visit the Loch Fyne website to book, quoting ‘Coastal Courses with Old Pulteney’ in the special requirements.
Each of Old Pulteney’s expressions captures the essence of its home on the Northerly shore of the Caithness Coast, in rural Scotland. Known as The Maritime Malt, Old Pulteney’s casks breathe in sea air year after year, leaving a distinctively briny taste that pairs perfectly with seafood dishes.
