This rare expression has been distilled and aged in the port of Wick on the remote windswept far north Scottish coast, where the sea salty air weathered the whisky casks. Aged for a quarter of a century, this single malt firstly rested in second fill ex-bourbon casks and then was further matured in first-fill ex-sherry oak butts to develop its elegant complexity. With an ABV of 46%, this whisky offers fragrant notes of heavy spices and dark chocolate. On the palate, creamy vanilla is beautifully intertwined with hints of toffee, followed by a long and spicy finish.
